“Physical activity” is a broad concept. And of course, it is essential. But whether we lift weights, row, or walk makes a massive difference in the BENEFIT.

Lately, greedy nutritionists have emerged, shamelessly offering programs with rhetoric like: “Lose weight without physical activity,” appealing to the lazy side of the reader’s mind. And it’s true that you can lose weight without physical activity, absolutely. But the very fact that they offer programs emphasizing that they are “exercise-free” (and covertly advising against it) means they don’t understand its value – or they simply aren’t able or willing to provide those benefits to their clients. Most likely, they think this approach will make them more money because it’s an easier sell.

In my eyes, these are people so hungry for money that they will say whatever you want to hear just to get paid – specifically by appealing to the ease of not putting in effort. Here is an example: a sponsored ad about how to “not waste time on exercise” and “not compromise your time” by not working out.

“I want to lose weight without exercising, is it possible?” is the same as asking, “I want to learn how to read without learning how to write, is it possible?”
If you want a better version of yourself, it is a major oversight to neglect exercise because it provides immense, priceless improvements. Anyone who understands the nature of the organism (the complex system of organs and biological processes that make up a living being) and advocates for a healthy life will not covertly classify exercise as “unnecessary.”
If you eat correctly and don’t exercise, you will still reduce excess weight.
If you eat poorly and exercise, you will have to rely mainly on exercise to burn off the excess, which inevitably results in an excessive spike in cortisol and a series of accompanying negative effects.
If you eat correctly and exercise correctly, you will achieve a state you never imagined possible.
